ABOUT ME
My name is Alina and I grew up in a family that loved art. At 27, I have now been living in beautiful Oldenburg, Germany for about four years. After living in North Rhine-Westphalia until I was nine, I spent the rest of my childhood and youth on the beautiful german island Borkum. I still like being there today and enjoy the feeling of home and the island atmosphere.
Painting has played a huge role in all stages of my life. My love for animals and nature has always been reflected in my projects.
Over the last two years, my paintings have increasingly developed into expressionist portrait painting. I want to create expression and emotion with dynamic brushstrokes and strong light-dark contrasts. 24-carat gold leaf is used in each of my paintings because I find it fascinating to work with an element of our earth. At the same time gold brings enormous energy to each painting. Acrylic paint and various pens and chalks form the base of each painting and bring the painting to life with numerous brushstrokes.
I find my inspiration in human interactions and nature. Other artists, as well as architecture, also help me to be creative. Art is a way of communication, expression and development. Let's go down this path together!
